Chris grew up in Michigan doing lots of home improvement projects with his father. Through these projects, he formed a special bond with his dad and a lifelong love for real estate and construction. He spent summers working construction, gaining additional skills, and learning more about the industry before going to college.

Chris graduated from Michigan State University, with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. After graduate school, Chris visited Austin for a job interview and stumbled on The Trail and Lady Bird Lake. While running on The Trail, he came across Austin’s very own Leslie, and he quickly learned that Austin was not like the rest of Texas. A month later, Tausha and Chris moved to Austin.

Tausha and Chris purchased their first house in Austin in 2003 in central Austin and put those skills he learned as a child to work remodeling a charming bungalow. The following year, he flipped a house, and purchased and remodeled his first rental property. He did most of the work himself, after his normal work hours and on weekends. The hard work paid off and those first real estate investments made a big difference in his life. He has continued to invest in the Austin Real Estate market, purchasing rental properties, flipping homes, and slow flipping.

After 16 years in Biotech and the medical device industry, during which time he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas, he left the corporate world to join Tausha full time at Marathon Real Estate. Chris now puts his passion for real estate to work for clients as they buy, sell, and invest in real estate.

Chris is passionate about The Trail where he runs several times a week, and he currently serves on the board of The Trail Foundation as Treasurer. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Tausha, his two kids, Kennedy and Cade, his dog Casey, and his friends. He enjoys travel, particularly to destinations where he can hike and play outside. He has a life dream to visit all 7 continents, with only Antarctica and Australia remaining.
